Because I’m going to miss your face.

Soooo we are about to run out the door to catch our flight!  I’ve decided to vacation from blogging too.  I will still be taking a picture (at least, ha) a day and then posting when we return.  This is actually hard for me to take a break from.  But I need to I think.  Unplug and spend quality time with people I don’t see much…and one that I do :) .  But it makes me kinda sad.  I’ll miss you little blog.

inspired by…

an Orla Kiely tablecloth that is now my kitchen curtains.  I really have an obsession with vintage looking fabric.  So when I saw this line at Targ*et last year I was in love.  Fabric can be super pricey…but I snagged two tablecloths on clearance for 6 dollars each!  My SIL sewed these up in no time and now I get to enjoy them everyday.

Hee.  I saw someone trying to unload one of these tablecloths on E*bay today for $99!  Score.

All dressed in white.

It is still coming down.  We woke up to another 3 or so inches this morning.  It was lovely snow…light and big flakes.  It almost looks fake…so kinda cool.  But when I am driving through my neighborhood and can’t see cars back out of driveways because of the 5 foot snow piles…sort of annoying.  Today as I was pulling in I thought any more snow and my house won’t be visible.  It really is that DEEP.  I don’t remember this much snow for this long ever.  We’ve had it for almost 2 months now.  Sigh.  3 days until SUN!!!

Miss P. insists on bringing one of her Valentine hearts in the car when we go somewhere.  As we were walking in it dropped in a snowbank…and I thought…hmmm…

Wishful thinking.

Why a fan you ask?  It’s January!  Well.  My muse isn’t home yet (just a few more minutes until her arrival hopefully) and…well, I like antiques.  I like rust.  Texture.  Old.  Dirty and non working.  As we are cleaning things out and redoing the office I am also going through everything and finding things to part with.  I don’t like clutter.  I don’t like a lot of things sitting around.  I love to purge my house.  So I do it 4 plus times a year.  Wow.  Getting off track.  So I found my little fan again and am trying to decide where it should live.  And I noticed the texture of the chipped paint on the base…the cobwebs in the blades…and thought…why not?
